The work is fine and beautiful and even the fine mille grain setting of the blister pearls, hints at an excellent silversmith. I love the contrast between the oval peacock blue /greens enamel panels and the roundels of blister pearl.Striking and eye catching in such an elegant design. I adore the way one of the oval enamel panels has been turned lengthwise and suspended as the drop on its own double chains, underneath the central pearl roundel. The work is not chunky at all-it is fine and carefully executed. As you would expect from such a quality piece of enamel work from the c1900 era, the reverse has also been enamelled in blue. These appear to be the original chains and the necklace measures approx 41cm (16 inches).
The pendant section measures approx 8.4cm wide by approx 3.8cm in height. A beautiful thing indeed which will be sent by Tracked and signed in a brand new gift box.
