Large half length portrait of the handsome young British officer in his red tunic and with his hat by his side wearing the distinct 50th regiment insignia. The painting is either late Napoleonic Wars or early Indian Campaigns. It may well be possible with research to identify both sitter and artist.The surface condition though not significantly damaged has become warped and would need a simple relined to correct.
